Dave Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 You might have noticed that we've changed servers We also have a new style. I'm aware that there's a couple of issues with IE which I'm going to try and resolve soon, but if you notice anything else, then please PM me with your browser information and what the problem is. Until then, you can set the default style back to the old one in the User CP. Enjoy the new style; feedback is much appreciated.
Pangloss Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 Looks pretty nice. The old link doesn't seem to be working, I can still only get in via IP address. Are we waiting on DNS propagation?
Dave Posted May 27, 2005 Author Posted May 27, 2005 Indeed we are. DNS got updated about 3 hours ago, so it should reach everyone in about 3-6 hours time.
Dapthar Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 Enjoy the new style; feedback is much appreciated.Could you please make the SFN logo at the top left of the page link to the SFN homepage once again? Apparently the link was broken/forgotten when the style was updated. Thanks.
Dave Posted May 28, 2005 Author Posted May 28, 2005 Fixed that. Also fixed a couple of bugs with IE. The layout works for me under IE5.5, IE6, Firefox and Mozilla, so I don't think anyone should have many major issues
Dave Posted May 28, 2005 Author Posted May 28, 2005 Some other things; we lost a few posts yesterday because of the db transfer; if you posted anything about two hours before the original forums shut down, the posts will probably have been lost. Sorry about that. Also, the Arcade is broken for the time being. Should be being fixed soonish.
Dak Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 The 'ads by google' box at the top of the screen seems to be overlapping the 'SFN' logo (using FF 1.0.4) and theres a rendering prob to the right of this page as i'm posting my reply. i have some screen-shots, but i dont seem to be able to attach them in this thread...
Dave Posted May 29, 2005 Author Posted May 29, 2005 Thanks for all of your complements on the new layout I'm working on a new set of buttons to complete the new look atm. The 'ads by google' box at the top of the screen seems to be overlapping the 'SFN' logo (using FF 1.0.4) and theres a rendering prob to the right of this page as i'm posting my reply. i have some screen-shots' date=' but i dont seem to be able to attach them in this thread...[/quote'] You can e-mail me the screenshots (removed e-mail). Resizing the window to be too small will result in this effect - if you make the window bigger, it should help some. There's not a lot I can do about that, I'm afraid
Dak Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 have emailed you the screen-shots. also, thought id mention that the problem goes away if i select 'SFN vbulletin 3 style' (ie, the old one)
alt_f13 Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 hard-core. Is the reply page still the old layout, or is it just me?
