Looking for a decent introduction to symplectic manifolds

I recall something by Marsden that you could download from a CalTech website. If you have no better leads, see if you can find anything when you google Marsden. (he's good, and a clear writer, the general topic is Dynamical Systems IIRC but there would be a chapter on sym.manif.)

In addition to that, you might want to keep looking at David Bachman's website. He is the author of the book on differential forms (downloadable) that I am basing my thread on forms at Physics Forums (I promise, I really will get back to that thread this week!). It's a very readable book and manifolds are covered at the end. Bachman has promised that symplectic forms will be treated in the next edition. Keep watching!

I'll second that. And as a preface for students with mulivariable and vector calc under their belt I'd recommend revisiting both with Apostol's Calculus.
