TheBrainlessGenius Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Hello to every one my name is Teodor , and i love Physics and engineering but i can't got to college . The reason why i can't it is because my teachers from high school hated me and did not wanted me to go to university so they left me with 3 In my diploma ( in the Bulgarian grade system 2 is the lowest 3 is pass and 6 is the highest ) , but i can't blame them i was in tourism high school In the Hotel management class . The only reason i was there was the fact that it was the closest high school and my family could not afford more . but to be honest i wanted to go in the Electric school , I was interested in wires , batteries , electronics , machines and computers . Well in high school i started hating school because the teachers ware not exactly the kindest , they just killed my hunger for knowledge and then i started having bad grades . 1 month after i got my diploma i started reading a book ( body language ) and after that i slowly started reading more , then i worked as a cashier i met a programmer who introduced me to the world of programing and i tried it but i was easily bored by it , then i tried to give a chance to the electrical engineering i started bit then i realized the i need physics , I spend a lot of time thinking about that and i decided that i the thing which i would enjoy to do for the rest of my life is to solve engineering and science problems . so right now i am on the point where i started reading books about physics or " How things work : the physics of everyday life 6" i would like to get an education in Science/physics and engineering , but i am poor and sense i was educated badly i can not enter a college ( well you know how for that kind of education i need A or B to enter , i have got D ) i want to become the better version of my self but i do not know how . and even if i am capable to learn on my own , how would i be in any help of the people when i haven't bean trained from Teachers . I want to Prove the world that The bad past must teach you not stop you . Please If there is a teachers . Help me , i will do my best to learn from the best .
Velocity_Boy Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Hello Teo and welcome to SF. Did you happen to notice the Education Section of our Forum? It's listed on the main front page with all of the other different Forums and Departments. I think it might be your best bet here. You can access study materials, tests, as well as prep courses for those tests. And since you obviously have American internet access, you will also have availability to online Universities where you can obtain a degree in your chosen field. So check it out, and then you can always come back here to ask us or the site moderators any questions you may have regarding the specifics of the Educational Forum. Most of those links will walk you right through, however. Thanks for coming here and sharing your story. I think it is highly commendable that you are not letting an unfair treatment by your past school system keep you from pursuing your goal. It's awesome, in fact. Best of luck with it! Just think how good you will feel about yourself after you prove all those past teachers as being wrong. Your hard work will be well worth it.
jimmydasaint Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 Teodor, I am a Biology teacher otherwise I would help you. You need a Physics specialist who can help you overcome problems in interpretation and understanding. II wish you the best of luck and hope that someone here can help to point you in the correct direction.
jimmydasaint Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Tedor, my friend, get a job and make some money then hire a tutor in your own country who will help you study Physics. You may have to go to college in the evenings and work hard every day but your ambitions will help you through every day. Always keep them in your mind. Good luck.
LabRat1 Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 It's really sad to see that to this date teachers choke your thirst for knowledge. i just graduated high school and will be joining an engineering university soon for computer science. Although it wont be very science related, there'll be plenty of mathematics(I love calculus), so maybe when it starts and I get a hang of it, i can post a few questions and theories i like on some thread(or maybe this thread if the moderator allows) for you.
