Raider5678 Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 What is your set of mental rules that you live by? Or at least try to?
KipIngram Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 I try to respect people's privacy, people's property, and people's right to live their lives as they choose. I try not to judge, and in cases where I'm unable to avoid "registering" judgment (sometimes we're unavoidably affected by our upbringing) I try not to act on that judgment if it's inappropriate to do so. And I expect that same treatment from others.
Mordred Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 My three rules. 1) treat others as I wish to be treated. 2) be a better person today than yesterday.. 3) Always find the positive aspects within yourself and others 1
imatfaal Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 rational humanism with a tinge of deontological ethics
Silvestru Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Unfortunately I work in a corporation so I live by the laws of Robotics: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.[1]
