If you've got an idea for a good science debate, let's hear it. I'd like to do another almost-mythical "featured debate".

Quantum mechanics is a good representation of the atomic world.

I have a future in a career of molecular biology.

Well, I know a while back Ophiolite and I kicked around metabolic rates of dinosaurs (warm, cold, or in between?) and the possibility of a future debate was mentioned, but the problem is that my position is very "middle ground". Then again, I could argue for a position I don't really support, as he surely could, giving us a bit of an artifical polarization.

Off the top of my head:-

- The commercial benifits of genetically modified crops outweigh the biological risks.

- Extrasensory perception can be proven not to exist.

- Vivisection is morally justifiable, the opposition only presents anthropomorphic arguments.

- There is no such thing as a global warming danger.

- Without the criticism of psudoscience pressure groups, the scientific community would still be arcane and irrational.

- Every scientific advance we make brings us closer to our destruction.

- A manned mission to Mars would benefit mankind.

- Pure science has no ethics.
