Clearwater is just across the bridge from me. But yes, americans are superficial. I never realized that, but I hear a lot of foreigners make the same observation. Were we as fat as you expected?
MulderMan Posted June 13, 2005 Author Posted June 13, 2005 i wasnt really suprised about the fattness with all the food you actually get out there... i do think places like clearwater are more like a "real" town though if you know what i mean, less tourists and less people wanting to fuss around you for the sake of a tip. by the bridge do you mean THE bridge? biggest bridge ive ever saw.
Phi for All Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 my first impresions of america were good although orlando is somewhat superficial. by the bridge do you mean THE bridge? biggest bridge ive ever saw.Our new tourism marketing campaign: "The United States. Deep water, shallow people."

You probably took one of them if you were coming from east of clearwater (orlando). The biggest bridge (in terms of sheer height) is the sunshine skyway. It's the only suspension bridge around here. That might be the one you're referring to if you were coming from orlando. But I live across the howard-franklin bridge, which is a long bridge that spans from Tampa to Clearwater.
Mokele Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 Anyone been/going somewhere nice this year? New Orleans for a long weekend, England for 3 weeks to visit my GF, and Guam for 2 weeks doing fieldwork. Mokele
c dawg Posted June 16, 2005 Posted June 16, 2005 Go to beautiful Prince Edward Island. We have a big bridge too. I believe it's 12km long. It's one of our biggest attractions.
