Solar eclipse: why the shadow goes that way

I know I don't have to explain this to any of you here, but just in case you find it hard to explain to your friends why the shadow goes from west to east, despite the fact we see it moving from east to west in the sky, with just a piece of paper and some crayons (there is a vid like that too ahah
