It's tough to find one party to put complete faith/support in. In my opinion, the only way to think for yourself is to find parts of parties to support.

Among the real scientific community, people are more to the right.

 

Is that so ? Conservatism correlate negatively with IQ results, and it's been proven "right" is, very often, synonymous with "religion", again, not something very scientific. I would really like to see a study that show doctors of science (not physician) are leaning on the right, I'm skeptical...

And, on a more annecdotal note, most of the profs I know whom I've talked politics with are definitely *not* conservative on many issues. Some are democrats, some green, some libertarian, but none I have yet met can stomach the current Republican party, mostly due to the influence of the Christian Right (as well as the Republican postion of "F*** the environment.")

This poll is a little America-centric... but for all you foreigners:

 

If you commented that you were against the right to bear arms' date=' do not vote republican or libertarian.

 

If you believed Saddam had WMD, but were still against the war, you should vote green or democrat.

 

If you're for abortion but against the death penality, democrat is the way to go.

Nothing wrong with the poll (though it's not great) but your first post is pretty sad. You can be for gun control and be a Republican and you can be for the war in Iraq and be a Democrat. If you recognize this, you shouldn't be suggesting people vote based on these specific issues.

Don't be surprised. USA has the most neo-Nazis in the world. Its been statistically proven. So maybe some1 is a Nazi. Nazi is just Fascist with a racism touch
