Hi,

I am interested in working with 4-vinyl pyridine. I know from the MSDS that the pure form is not very stable at room temp and is often kept in a glovebx or maybe handled while wearing a respirator.

I am interested in working with dilute aqueous solutions (< 100 mg/L). Can anyone give me advice about how these need to be handled, e.g. stability of at room temperature and ambient air, need for respirator, etc?

Any advice is much appreciated.

What are you using vinyl pyridine for? I wanted to use it for suzuki coupling reactions (via the alkyne) hence some experience. Can only find it in technical grade.

You need to store the vinylpyridine in the fridge where it appears to be stable over several years. Use in fumehood without respirator.
