nec209 Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 I was reading article that in future with advance medicine we may be able to bring back dead people. Could this be possible and if so how? With out cryogenics how could this be done? In future with advance medicine and technology how could this be done?
rangerx Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 (edited) Cells rapidly become necrotic without oxygen. Likewise they expand and split when frozen. There are chemical preparations that will preserve cells for analysis, but they're highly toxic to otherwise living cells. Edited September 21, 2017 by rangerx
tuco Posted September 21, 2017 Posted September 21, 2017 Seems to me like a matter of definitions. If one is dead, one cannot be brought to life by definition. Then there is Theseus's paradox: is it still the one?

As long as the person memory, person character, person personality, person emotions and behavior is not destroyed other wise you right it would theseus's paradox a copy of person that was alive.
