Referring to posts in threads

Posts don't seem to have numbers . How can I say which one I am talking about without actually using the quote function?

I don't think you can - but you can shorten the quote if it is a page long by cutting the middle out. It shows you are answering a specific post without having to copy the lot out. I don't know if that helps at all? I liked it when the posts were numbered too.

That should help since multiquote seems to be automatic  (up to a certain time delay I expect)

If you click the "Share this post" button at the top right corner of a post (the three dots linked by two lines), you'll get a direct link to the post, which you could use to refer to a specific post.
