Quote Shanghai-based Spreadtrum Communications, which designs chips for mobile phones, and Shenzhen-based HiSilicon Technologies, a captive supplier to Huawei and one of the largest domestic designers of semiconductors in China, are among the local designers that have shown rapid growth over the past few years. So there are at least two Chinese companies designing and manufacturing chips. Then what is the point of this thread? 13 minutes ago, cheetaman said: 2) I said that "Chinese made two microchips and they are all fake." You said that "What evidence do you have for that?". You seem to be very confused. I asked you what evidence you had that the video of the Chinese compass was fake. I was the one who provided details of the fake chip you mentioned. Remember? 14 minutes ago, cheetaman said: 3)The book "1421: The Year China Discovered the World. " by Gavin Menzies. Historians have categorised Menzies' work as pseudo-history. Yes. We agree on that. So what? Why is it relevant? 14 minutes ago, cheetaman said: 4) Photos: 1990, the world discovered China. So what? How is this relevant? And why do you just keep posting the same thing over and over? This is a DISCUSSION forum.

OK - to play advocate... although I think it probably worked, I'd assume the handle would need to be magnetic, the board and underside of the spoon bowl would need to be highly polished. I reckon it would be clunky, the spoon would need to be light.... but assuming it was magnetized, er, Ok that's all I got - why wouldn't it work?

I reckon it would be clunky, the spoon would need to be light.... I assume the whole thing is made from magnetite (the Chinese are very good at working difficult stones; look at some of their jade work - a material that cannot be carved). And if it is heavier, there is more magnetite and so a stronger magnet. But there is probably some ideal balance between size and functionality. The other good thing about the spoon shape as a balance is that it doesn't depend on the base being perfectly level. 7 minutes ago, Silvestru said: If I wasn't sure that you are a sock puppet Reported?
