One of the markers of climate change is a change upwards in the frequency of extreme weather events.

Quote

Earth’s lower atmosphere is becoming warmer and moister as a result of human-emitted greenhouse gases. This gives the potential for more energy for storms and certain severe weather events. Consistent with theoretical expectations, heavy rainfall and snowfall events (which increase the risk of flooding) and heatwaves are generally becoming more frequent. Trends in extreme rainfall vary from region to region: the most pronounced changes are evident in North America and parts of Europe, especially in winter.

Is there any event which would falsify the model? It is just that we were told there would be no more snow and now when there is loads of snow we are told that that is also what we expect.

You've said something similar before, but no link to it. Now would be a good time to provide one.

Speaking of records tumbling:

For the third year in a row, reports of record-breaking high temperatures in the Arctic, during the dark of winter, continue in the news.

Quote

“…the Arctic is also stewing in temperatures more than 45 degrees above normal. This latest huge temperature spike in the Arctic is another striking indicator of its rapidly transforming climate.”

“On the opposite end of North America, abnormally mild air also poured over northern Alaska on Tuesday, where the temperature in Utqiaġvik, previously known as Barrow, soared to a record high of 31 degrees (minus-1 Celsius), 40 degrees (22 Celsius) above normal.”

“Temperatures over the entire Arctic (north of 80 degrees latitude) have averaged about 10 degrees (6 Celsius) above normal since the beginning of the calendar year. These kinds of temperature anomalies in the Arctic have become commonplace in winter in the past few years.”

“As of Friday, the whole region had spiked more than 35 degrees (20 Celsius) above normal, which Labe called a “truly remarkable event” and the warmest in February ever recorded.”

So it all comes fairly close to averaging out, in the end; it is just a degree or so warmer overall globally, over the decade.

Although, continuing like this, decade upon decade for a century of so, would be a more extreme climate event than the planet has seen since long before primates first evolved.

edit: ...and yes, it would be great to see the source of your information about "no more snow."

Watts Up With That?(or WUWT) is a blog[1]promoting climate change denial[2][3][4][5][6]that was created by Anthony Watts in 2006.[2][3]

The blog predominantly discusses climate issues with a focus on anthropogenic climate change, generally accommodating beliefs that are in opposition to the scientific consensus on climate change. Contributors include Christopher Monckton and Fred Singer as guest authors.[7] In November 2009, the blog was one of the first websites to publish emails and documents from the Climatic Research Unit controversy, and a driving force behind its coverage.[7]

This is the article in the independent

http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/snowfalls-are-now-just-a-thing-of-the-past-724017.html

Snow is starting to disappear from our lives. Sledges, snowmen, snowballs and the excitement of waking to find that the stuff has settled outside are all a rapidly diminishing part of Britain's culture, as warmer winters – which scientists are attributing to global climate change – produce not only fewer white Christmases, but fewer white Januaries and Februaries … Global warming, the heating of the atmosphere by increased amounts of industrial gases, is now accepted as a reality by the international community … According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become "a very rare and exciting event". "Children just aren't going to know what snow is," he said

Of course the Independent might have just fabricated the claims by Dr Viner.

You are the mod so it is not worth me arguing...

which along with other points you seemed to have missed, are made in the "beast from the east" thread.

Relevance?

I was told to produce evidence for my claim that Dr Viner had declared the GW would mean the end of snow.

I did so.

The fact that we have had loads of snow since 2001 is why we now have all the rewriting of history. Now, suddenly, global warming theory has been adapted to include as features most of the events which only a decade earlier were understood to be falsifying events.

So tell us, BeeCee, what would falsify the theory now?
