Does aluminium oxide and carboxylic acid mix to create a water resistant/repellent substance/liquid? Or is that wrong?

At least some carboxylic acids are fairly water repellent with or without mixing them with alumina.

Hi, thank you for replying! Would you be able to name a carboxylic acid that would be water repellent and mix with alumina? Its just for a school report! Thank you so much

Since this is schoolwork it should be in that section (ie homework).

 

As such have you tried following John Cuthber's lead by googling water repellent carboxylic acid?
