jazzoff Posted July 12, 2005 Posted July 12, 2005 Recently, we studied about a company named ICI which produced high protein content animal feed called Pruteen using a fungus called Fusarium . However, as the price of such feed is higher than those made from animal carcasses, Pruteen production ended in 1985. Are there any new animal feed made recently, and are there any alternative feed besides Pruteen ?

Are there any new animal feed made recently, and are there any alternative feed besides Pruteen[/i'] ? I have heard about bioprotein derived mainly from Methylococcus. Here is the SSC report about it: http://europa.eu.int/comm/food/fs/sc/scan/out114_en.pdf Rafal
