Pangloss Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 Here's a link: http://money.cnn.com/2005/07/13/news/newsmakers/ebbers_sentence/index.htm?cnn=yes Yet another victory for the Bush/Ashcroft Justice Department, IMO, closing the last chapter on the largest case of accounting fraud in US history.
Douglas Posted July 13, 2005 Posted July 13, 2005 And here I thought the liberals were predicting that the big corporate criminals would get off "scot free" under a Bush administration.
Edisonian Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 Put him under the jail house for good. He is a selfish, greedy no good pig to steal from so many hard-working Americans.
Tetrahedrite Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 And here I thought the liberals were predicting that the big corporate criminals would get off "scot free" under a Bush administration. Yep....The Bush administration is terrible tough on businesses....... and the best friend of low income earners and/or the disadvantaged.
Skye Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 How much of this was instigated by Bush or Ashcroft though? Or is it a matter of them not calling in favours for their corporate friends, as might have been expected?
Pangloss Posted July 15, 2005 Author Posted July 15, 2005 Got any evidence for that, or are you just casting random doubt-bombs today?

Or is it a matter of them not calling in favours for their corporate friends, as might have been expected? There may not have been any instigations. Worldcom chief Bernard Ebbers deserved what he got, perhaps Bush and Ashcroft agree. I'd like to see Ken Lay, the Enron thief, get 50 years.
