Carl Fredrik Ahl Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Hi, I think triglycerides and glucose are very like each other when they are described. I wonder what's the big difference? Glucose is taking up by cells if energy is needed and so is triglycerides, so what differ?
CharonY Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 A) Structurally and chemically very different. B) Different pathways in uptake C) Different pathways in metabolization (though interconversion is possible via central metabolitic pathways) D) Different physiological effects (e.g. of high/low levels).
