App for displaying Arrival and Departure Flights Information.

Is it possible to design and develop Smartphone apps which display real time display of Arrival and Departure Flights for a International / Domestic airport ?

If there are already apps for the same, please let me know.

If not, is it useful to have this app also taking security and confidentiality into consideration for the flights information in a International / Domestic airport ?
