Frank Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 So, use an engraver then colour in the grooves, wipe off/remove the colour spilled out of the grooves? Maybe fill grooves with permanent marker. Might make a nice life hack or instructible. Examples of "utensils" - are we talking fork, knife, spoon or something else?

Are you talking about flatware like forks and knives, or implements like spatulas and tongs? 2. Describe "electric operated machine pen". Is this something that engraves on utensils? 3. Clarify - do you want to print the name of the color in color (like "red"), or the name of the utensil in color (like "fork"), or something else?
prashantakerkar Posted July 29, 2018 Author Posted July 29, 2018 (edited) Thank you. The utensils which we use in kitchen in daily household / restaurants for cooking purposes. Example of a utensil could be a Pot for cooking rice with water. I will be sending a image of the utensil as a attachment. I would like to write for example name Tom Smith on the Utensil as it belongs to him with help of electrical operated pen. Note that the name Tom Smith should be red, green, blue etc colours. The electrical operating machine pen is used for engraving name on the utensil. The name marked should be permanent in nature. If we use a colour sketch pen or colour white board marker, the name will be wiped when the utensil is cleaned with soap & water after few days. The materials used for creating utensils are Tin, Aluminium, Stainless Steel etc. Thanks & Regards, Prashant S Akerkar Attached images .... Edited July 29, 2018 by prashantakerkar Images merged.
Phi for All Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Are you asking about inventing a pen that engraves, anodizes, and colors metals all at the same time, as you write?
prashantakerkar Posted July 30, 2018 Author Posted July 30, 2018 (edited) Thank you. You are absolutely correct. Is it possible to manufacture a colour pen similar to a sketch pen or white board colour marker pen which engraves, anodizes and colours metals all at the same time? If yes, how? If there are already available products on Amazon, eBay, Snapdeal, Flipkart ecommerce etc sites, please let me know. If no, why? Thanks & Regards, Prashant S Akerkar Edited July 30, 2018 by prashantakerkar Content
Phi for All Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Have you checked out alcohol inks? They're used with metals, and there seems to be a variety of colors available. Perhaps you can get the effect you want with a normal electric engraver, with the lettering highlighted by alcohol ink coloring. I've never seen a product that can engrave and color at the same time. Inks and rapid reciprocation sounds pretty messy.
nevim Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 Well, it does exist for the skin; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tattoo_machine so perhaps it does exist for other surfaces.
prashantakerkar Posted July 31, 2018 Author Posted July 31, 2018 (edited) Thank you. Evaluating Colour Alcohol inks could be a good option. Can Alcohol inks leave a permanent colour mark on the utensils ? Utensils materials are Tin, Stainless Steel, Aluminium etc Thanks & Regards, Prashant S Akerkar Edited July 31, 2018 by prashantakerkar Content

They're more suited for a good browser. Perhaps when the OP learns more about the subject, he/she will bring up something interesting about it to discuss with others.
