Do you feel it could/may be useful to display Flight number electronic LCD display on Front glass panel of commercial airplanes?

Example :

Flight operator : Jet airways.

Flight Number : 9w234

Front panel as in where the pilot looks out of? What purpose would it serve other than obscuring vision?

I mean obviously the electronic LCD display in the glass panel of commercial aircraft should not obstruct the Pilot for viewing.

Small Glass panel displaying the Flight number above the Main Glass panel which is for the Pilot to view his flight operations.

For the purposes of air and ground traffic control, aircraft use a transponder to identify aircraft on radar by flight number, altitude and position. Aircraft ID's may be associated to a flight number and position using a wide variety of apps or cross-referenced to arrival/departure/gate info. Likewise, workers in the system (fuel, baggage, food, sanitation etc.) are provided with this information as schedules or work orders.

An aircraft ID is highly visible to the extent it needs to be and ought not be needlessly distracted by variable displays.

If you are interested what is ID of some airplane, especially when it's flying, you can use FlightRadar website:

https://www.flightradar24.com/

There is a few seconds delay what is displayed on the map, and the real world.

When the next time you will see airplane in air, open website, and you will see how far it is from you versus where it is on the map on the website.

I was evaluating whether the Flight number displayed on the electronic LCD Front display in the glass pane  above the main glass pane could/may be useful to Air traffic Control systems as a tracking measure for airplanes?

Also I am thinking if this in case if the feature added is not hampering the security of the aircraft, then also from designing point of view (look & feel) for the aircraft, will this be accepted?

How would it be useful? Could they see it in planes in the air? Or even when they are on the ground? How big would this display need to be?

Any commercial aircraft has the name say for example "British Airways" with specific paint colour and always a logo identifying the carrier/co.

Similarly maybe, from designing point of view, this feature added can be interesting provided this feature does not create any security problems for the aircraft.

Interestingly, this could / can also be implemented on the outer sideways (left & right) where there are the wings, passengers sit.

Optimum design is having no windows at all..

It's unneeded complication in airplane design, useless for any modern country traffic controllers.

In 3rd world country, some old airplanes indeed might not have transponder installed. Easier to install transponder than redesigning body of obsolete airplane.

I think everyone's point is what's the point of doing this at all?

Aircraft already have their registration written on the outside, they also broadcast flight number, registration and icao address.
