Such ski tunnel has some advantages (cost, it can be used entire year not just in winter, there is no wind, controlled temperature and humidity etc.), but requires natural slope of terrain (or elevator).

There is yet another design: ski resort in large building, in the middle of nowhere, e.g. desert, like Ski Dubai resort.

 

There are already ski centres  that don't rely on the weather.
