g2006 Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Hi I have recently just read that when a star or planet(of a certain size) it becomes a singularity, which then addmits light rays which curve around the singularity. Now this intill the singularity reaches infinite density is this another way of putting a black hole or is it just a link or rubbish. thanks
ed84c Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 Erm im finding it difficult to understand you, are you english or is it just me? Anyway, an infinite density is a sigularity and a singularity forms an schwarzchild radius = black hole. If that helps. However Hawking says that you can have naked singularities (for a small amount of time) I think it might just be a quantum mechanics quirk of nature, though, so i dont understand.
g2006 Posted July 20, 2005 Author Posted July 20, 2005 nearly every1 on this forum is sarcastic, you could have just asked me to refraise the question
ed84c Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Sorry i didnt mean to offend you, it must just have been me then.
