davis212 Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 (edited) Hi, Generator of Electricity produce 1 kw per second, how much can produce of kilowatts during 1 hour ? Because online converter never give me the correct value Edited September 28, 2018 by davis212
swansont Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 kw per second is not a proper unit. kW is already a unit of power (energy per unit time). If it's producing a constant 1 kW, it's producing 1 kW at all times. If it's energy you are interested in, E = Pt, so 1kW for 1 sec is 1kJ, and for an hour it will be 3600 kJ (J = joules)
davis212 Posted September 28, 2018 Author Posted September 28, 2018 Hi swansont, Thank you for reply, i will ask the question by another way 1 litre of petrol = 9,1 kwh If my generator consume 1 litre of petrol per Second, how much KW of electricity can produce during 1 hour of work ?
swansont Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 You know that 1 L gives you 9.1 kWh in one second. So you should be able to figure out how much you will get (and how much petrol you will consume) in 1 hour. But the answer will not be in kW, because that's power. You are calculating an energy. Your answer will be in kWh (which is probably the most straightforward calculation), or some other energy unit.
