Prometheus Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 Do you know why x^2 + 1 doesn't intersect the x axis?
mathematic Posted October 5, 2018 Posted October 5, 2018 (edited) The expression has a positive constant while the terms dependent on x are functions of \(x^2\), so they are non-negative, thus the entire expression is always positive as a function of x.
