Wow, well said IMM! That was a really interesting post. To be honest, I'm pretty familiar with a lot of the background there, but I think your perspective on it is really unique and astute.

I consider myself a social democrat, and honestly I'm a little surprised how far to the left the test puts me.

Well that's a poor generalization, given the size of the statistical sample. On the other hand, it's not an atypical application of the scientific method. Certainly a good example of why so many theories get overturned.

My theory: "sciency people" are generally more intelligent than the rest of the population.

 

Rolf. I was tempted to say the same thing myself as in socialist= intelligent or something, but noting where i am on the graph, people will yell at me for symptahy seeking :D.

Actually the funny thing is that you actually seem to believe that everyone who shows up in the lower-left quarter is a socialist. :)
