Hi, I am interested in knowing how pure nitrogen is synthesize/produce. I've been searching the web but got no luck. Would anyone please give me an explaination or some resources. thanks

Uhhh well most of air is pure nitrogen. As I understand it if you put it underalot of pressure and/or cool it you get liquid nitrogen.

 

Here's a site of a company that sells machines that produce it on site from air. http://www.stirling.nl/sp/sp3.html

As you can see it's not chemical but a mechanical process.

 

Are you sure you searched the web though? I googled "producing liquid nitrogen" and this is the first thing that popped up, it even has a scimatic of the interior workings of the machine.

nor me, but, you can`t "Synthesize" liquid nitrogen either, you can extract it, and then liquify it, but you`re not "synthing" anything. anymore than you can "Synthesize" Ice :)

Yeah didn't notice, I guess it'd kinda like saying works all the time 60% of the time.

Yeah noticed that too hence why I used the word produce. :) Maybe that's why he didn't get an web hits for his search.
