MigL
Does the fact that E Warren is still in pull votes from the B Sanders camp, and give J Biden an advantage going forward ? Old Joe might just pull it off. Either way, we currently have a president who is bat-sh*t crazy, and the next one ( either Bernie or Joe ) could be senile before the end of his first term. To some extent, maybe yes, but she’s trying to position herself as the middle option and this is why she’ll likely stay in even after Tuesday. “Like Bernie’s ideas, but not how easy he is to caricature or how limited his record of achievement is, but don’t want the barely intelligible Biden who still thinks politics work like they did 40 years ago? Vote Warren!”

J.C.MacSwell
Regardless of who the middle option might be, the Bernie Bros are not going to like them. That will make it harder vs Trump if that option succeeds in getting nominated.

J.C.MacSwell
Amazing what SC has done for Joe Biden. 32 minutes ago, iNow said: Any Klobuchar has now also dropped out Down to 3 old white guys and a comparatively young whipper snapper female... I said that assuming Sanders would get the plurality of votes. The way it is heading now that may not even be true, but it very well still could be and seems likely. But Biden is rolling in a way Bernie was just last week. If he ends up in the Whitehouse SC was the pivot point. (and I would think he owes James Clyburn a beer...) Whether Sanders wins the plurality could make a difference for a number of Bernie supporters, most of whom admittedly would still vote Democrat but I think it depends on how many...vs how many stay home or vote for Trump. 12% voted for Trump in 2016 IIRC (I'm recalling thinking I heard that recently). That was after Clinton won the plurality heading into the convention. How many more would have done that if Sanders had the plurality and then lost the nomination? Some of Sanders supporters are anti-establishment and many anti-DNC.

MigL
Both P Buttigieg and A Klobuchar have thrown their support behind J Biden who is 'sittin pretty' for Tuesday. Meanwhile, E Warren is 'stealing' support from B Sanders, who is having 'deja-vu' of 2015. One week, in politics, makes a HUGE difference

iNow
^lol Biden won Virginia and got an important win in North Carolina. He also took Alabama so is crushing the south. Will be curious what happens in Texas. Bernie won Vermont. Bloomberg took American Samoa. Results will keep coming in tonight and for several days ahead. iNow
Warren lost Massachusetts. I think she needs to drop out. Bernie took California which is huge. Biden is having the single best night of his entire political career. It’s the first good week he’s had in this entire campaign. He needs to string several good weeks together. Should he win, I’d like him to have Warren or Stacey Abrams as his VP.
MigL
I think JC is hoping A Yang as VP. If J Biden should win the nomination, I don't think I could watch the debate with D Trump.

That would be interesting if they took some of Yang's ideas and toned them down a bit (could they then let Yang do the talking?) The downside of course is the mess they inherit, but that would be true for anyone.
