DNA extraction form dried leaves - Long shot, but.....

Hi,
I wanted to ask if anybody has extracted DNA from dried leaf samples that were stored at 4 Celsius. I know that DNA is quite stable in solution after extraction, but I don't know about the tissue. I'm assuming there will be degradation. But in any case I thought to ask if anybody has ever tried, before throwing the samples...

Depends on application. Short PCRs, for example, are generally fine, they are fairly robust. Longer amplification tends to suffer.

Extracting DNA from neem leaves is a common experiment in a few videos I've found online. Maybe the protocol used for those could help here?
