Airbrush Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 (edited) Trump's bright idea to totally abandon the Kurds, who have suppressed ISIS, losing tens of thousands of Kurd fighters, who have thousands of ISIS prisoners, is what may end the Trump Era. Even Lindsey Graham has turned against Trump for that. "As I have stated strongly before, and just to reiterate, if Turkey does anything that I, in my great and unmatched wisdom, consider to be off limits, I will totally destroy and obliterate the Economy of Turkey (I’ve done before!),” the president wrote. "It was at this point that Colbert seemed truly flabbergasted. “Wow,” the comedian said. “He’s gone full god-emperor. ‘It is I, Donald the Great, of unmatched wisdom and infinite wives; destroyer of casinos; conqueror of 10-piece McNuggets, scourge of Chrissy Teigen, defeated only once in battle by my eternal nemesis, umbrella.” https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2019/10/trump-turkey-kurds-syria-great-and-unmatched-wisdom-colbert Edited October 8, 2019 by Airbrush 1

Airbrush Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 But this time Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell and Fox and Friends have turned against this decision. Trump must reverse or be in trouble. I think he will reverse and leave a force in Syria helping the Kurds. He often makes an outrageous claim, to see the reaction, then does nothing.

You may be right, and potentially part of the reason he did this was knowing how it would distract attention from his impeachment coverage, or the fact that he's refusing to let his Ukrainian ambassador testify in front of congress despite him being subpoena'd.

He's all four horsemen rolled into one, pushing us towards intellectual pestilence, ideological war, social famine, and the death of our democracy. Except he's not a horse guy. Is there a Golf Cart of the Apocalypse? 1

It does seem there are a a few different ways Trump's presidency might end and all seem possible in my opinion. - Trump is removed from office via impeachment. This could happen before 2020 or during a second term should he make to 2020 and win a second term. - Trump resigns as part of a deal to avoid impeachment. - Trump resigns as part of a deal he works out to spare some combination of Ivanka, Kushner, Don Jr, Eric, or other associates from prosecution. - Trump resigns out of the blue. Just declares victory and states he has had enough of the fake media and crooked Washington Politicians. - A Republican challenger successfully beats Trump in the GOP primary following which Trump complains but doesn't file as an independent and simply isn't on the 2020 ballot. - A Republican challenger successfully beats Trump in the GOP primary following which Trump runs as an independent as loses. - A Democratic Candidate beats Trump in 2020 - A Third Party challenge wins in 2020 - Trump wins and serves a full second term. The Last option looks most likely, the Dems are seriously lacking in the Charisma Department, bringing in the likes of AOC(who was clearly not ready) doesn't have seemed to have helped them in that department with the Gaffes She's made(like I said, She wasn't ready). Biden has crashed, O'rourke isn't that liked so who do they have left, they need Divine Intervention that's for sure, but somehow I don't think they'll receive that.

Trump is clearly anti-Christlike in his words and actions. He is the exact opposite of Jesus Christ in his cynicism, exaggeration, self-centeredness, and all his mannerisms. In that sense he IS THE ANTICHRIST. Edited October 9, 2019 by Airbrush

CharonY Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 At this point I suspect that Trump thinks that he is still in a reality TV-show and he is building up to a season finale. Probably with the hope that there will be sequel, otherwise he is only in for the ratings (and personal enrichment).
rangerx Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 I'm sure the SDNY would like to have a little chat with him once he's ousted/resigns/voted out.

Only problem is Trump is screwing around with the real world, and it doesn't work like a reality show. At first Trump complained that being president was harder than his previous "job." Then he got a taste of the huge, world-wide, constant attention he was getting. That was a high he never had before. Now he pays the piper in reality. Edited October 11, 2019 by Airbrush
Airbrush Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 (edited) It appears that Trump will not reverse his troop pull out from Syria, signaling to Turkey is was ok to attack the Kurds. As this gets worse, civilians killed, ISIS prisoners released, the GOP will start turning against Trump, just as they did against Nixon in 1974. The top Evangelical, Pat Robertson, said that Trump could lose the "mandate of heaven" by his surrendering to Erdogan. By turning against the Kurds, Trump is burning bridges back into the area to fight ISIS. The Kurds will not welcome us back! Welcome back ISIS. Edited October 11, 2019 by Airbrush

There are 2 or maybe 3 newscasters who stray occasionally from the party line and do actual reporting of actual reality. It’s rare, but happens Those pockets seem do to be shrinking, but I believe they remain somewhat protected by management to ensure they have something specific to point to when accused of spreading bullshit and being biased. It seems one of those 2 "actual" newscasters is tired of being their "token" real news guy. Shep Smith is leaving Fox. https://www.vox.com/culture/2019/10/11/20910411/shepard-smith-fox-news-exit Quote “Recently I asked the company to allow me to leave Fox News and begin a new chapter,” he said at the conclusion of Shepard Smith Reporting <...> The news seemed to surprise even others on the network, with Fox News host Neil Cavuto beginning the 4 pm broadcast by saying, “whoa,” before telling the audience that “a better newsman you probably cannot find” than Smith. Others at the network, like Special Report host Bret Baier, also expressed their surprise on Twitter. I first worked with Shep on my first assignment at @FoxNews almost 23 years ago. It was a total shock today to find out he’s leaving. He anchored breaking news -fast-moving events —better than anyone. I wish him well in whatever lies ahead

Honestly, it's ironic how we wage counterproductive wars (Iraq and Afghanistan) and then recant so hastily as to leave all in shambles (Iraq and Libya). Without the military industrial complex (Raytheon, Boeing,... Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, etc.), this would be the most damning criticism of our two-party system. No consistent foreign policy, but a very clear business model. No foreign policy town hall, and now the war-mongers get to self-righteously bash the brain-dead populist. Oct 11, 6:19 PM CST 1
