David O Reilly Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 I want to make a reagent with cupric chloride. I watched a video showing placing copper in a jar, then adding hydrochloric acid and hydrogen peroxide. After stirring he ended up with a green solution, however my recipe says I need 30 grams of cupric chloride, so how do I get a solid (powder) rather than a liquid
David O Reilly Posted February 9, 2019 Author Posted February 9, 2019 Thank you very much, but how to evaporate
chenbeier Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 (edited) Boil it until all water is gone. Or put it in a ball and wait some day until the water is vaporized slowly. Result you would get nice crystalls of copper chloride Edited February 9, 2019 by chenbeier
