Forrest:D Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 In E.C.S, there is an anticlockwise rule to predict the feasibility of reaction. According to anticlockwise rule, when silver ion reacts with iodide ion, it will form silver metal and iodine. However, silver iodide is formed instead. Why is it so? Thanks~
chenbeier Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 There is no redox reaction: Ag+ + I- => AgI, This will precipitate. The ions still existing.
