Medina98 Posted March 28, 2019 Posted March 28, 2019 Hello, I'm new to this forum so I don't if I'm in the right place to ask this. Co(NH3)6 2+ + H2o2 ---------- Co (NH3)6 3+ + ? I can't figure out what are the products in this reaction. I know that H2O2 is oxidant so it has to be reduced to H2O. but then the equation can't be balanced.Thanks in advance!
chenbeier Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 (edited) Co(NH3)62+ => Co(NH3)63+ + e- Oxidation H2O2 + 2 e- => 2 OH- Reduktion Edited March 29, 2019 by chenbeier

Hope this answers your question. \[2Co(NH_3)_6^{2+} + H_2O_2 --> 2Co(NH_3)_6^{3+} + 2OH^-\] Edited March 29, 2019 by Bufofrog
