anthropos Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 Are there any accidents where the lift cables snap and the lift experiences freefall?
YT2095 Posted July 30, 2005 Posted July 30, 2005 only for a a single floor, there have never been any recorded deaths due to lift failure IIRC. at least not as a passenger, there have been deaths outside of the carriage tho.
BenSon Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 Me and a few friends were in a lift once the doors didn't open so we tried the roof ala die hard but that didn't work so we just pried the doors open a walked out. No fatalities there ~Scott
anthropos Posted July 31, 2005 Author Posted July 31, 2005 haha... i had a phobia of lifts since five. My mum and dad were placing luggage into the lift when the lift doors suddenly closed and I was inside. I was crying like hell though the lift wasn't even moving! Since then, I dreamt of being in a place full of lifts and whenever I went into one, I would be trapped in it. Anyway, now the fear's waning...
