iloveknowledge Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 Hello, i am searching for a scientific divulgative book about gravity, any advice ? P.S. Did any of you read :"Quantum Space: Loop Quantum Gravity and the Search for the Structure of the Universe"-J.Baggot ?
MigL Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 (edited) No, I Haven't. However if you are interested in LQG, one of the most proficient writers on the subject is Carlo Rovelli. He actually works in the field so his stuff isn't really considered pop-science for the masses. You may want to take a look through this...http://www.cpt.univ-mrs.fr/~rovelli/IntroductionLQG.pdf If you want a more general book, which is a little harder reading as it contains some heavy math, you can't do any better than Gravitation by Misner, Thorne and Wheeler. It is the definitive authority on Gravity as per GR. ( sorry, added an edit after Intrigued's reply ) Edited May 5, 2019 by MigL
Intrigued Posted May 5, 2019 Posted May 5, 2019 1 hour ago, iloveknowledge said: divulgative I suppose I should thank you for adding to my vocabulary, but then I would have to condemn you in equal measure for using such an ugly word, when "informative" would have served as well and been more readily recognised.
