Cap'n Refsmmat Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 Yes. Except this time, let's do it right and get the entire community in on it. More publicity!
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 You got it rather quick. That's what it is.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 I like Aeternus's name idea: WiSci. I say go for it. I'll see if I can get my own wiki software finished up enough to use.
Skye Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 Any suggestions on the name? Blikey J's Conflabulous EnSciclopedia.
MetaFrizzics Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 wow this sounds really good: Tell me about the previous attempt.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 No, people did use it, but blike's host killed it for some reason or another.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 Blike, if you'd like to test out my wiki, you can find a beta at http://www.homeworkrocket.com/awiki/
Bettina Posted August 1, 2005 Posted August 1, 2005 Blikey J's Conflabulous EnSciclopedia. I love it......perfect. Bettina
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 blike: http://sourceforge.net/projects/sc-wiki/ It's been redubbed scWiki. Hope you like the software.
Sayonara Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Writing Wiki software is reinventing the wheel too
YT2095 Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 couldn`t the Search Engine be modified in such a way that if you needed a definition you could just type something like: DEF "aword" and would open a box with the meaning in it? just a thought.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted September 25, 2005 Posted September 25, 2005 Out of curiosity, I'd like to ask if Blike is still interested or if he forgot about it. I think a wiki would be great for SFN. We could refer people to the wiki articles for commonly asked questions (and maintain a list of creationist arguments and rebuttals) and so on. Also it would be fun. As for YT's question, I think that would be simple, although that would require a seperate listing of words and articles. There might be arguments over what's a word and what deserves an article. It would be easier to just do articles. I've finished 1.0 of scWiki, in case you'd like to use that. Since I have enough time on my hands, if you'd like a feature, I can probably add it. (Nothing too extravagant though!)
