Jeremiah23 Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Hello.I am just wondering whether it is possible to combine the hydroxy group of 4-Hydroxy-1-naphthalenesulfonic acid sodium salt to another compound with -COOH group via esterification? If so, what are the appropriate reagents used for this?

If so, what are the appropriate reagents used for this? I see no reason why not. It should be pretty easy to look up an exact procedure as it’s not an overly complicated molecule.
