Does electron experience a push or pull from the magnetic field as the pink and blue arrow represents and if yes they are in the same direction (As per flow of electrons) so what is the potential on the end at the north pole of the magnet. Is it the same as the one on the south side but in opposite direction. Lets suppose at point B it is 10V. What is the potential at point A, is it -10 V or 0).
swansont Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 They? is it possible that “they” are talking about the force on the pink segment and a force on the blue segment? Because talking about the force from N and S makes no sense. There is just the field, and you can’t have just one pole.
Enthalpy Posted October 7, 2019 Posted October 7, 2019 Force from a pole, and a potential, would be the case from an electric field, not a magnetic one. Magnetic fields do act on charges, if there is movement.
