Sayonara
I'm sure it's a great resource, but you know - if you're going to advertise on a similar site, you bloody well ask first. It's just good manners (and covered in our terms of use).
Ophiolite
I think it's to the credit of the admins here that they haven't immediately deleted the opening post and banned the poster. If I recall the terms of use Sayonara referred to they would have been well within their rights. Until I see a public apology from FiReaNG3L for these bad manners I shan't be looking at their site, let alone registering.
FiReaNG3L
I'm sorry that you interpreted my post as rude; I did read the rules and figured out it was ok, since it was a non-commercial Biology website. 2.d) Personal/Corporate Advertising. Links should be to relevant information; no commercial spam. The site was featured two days ago in The Scientist ("The power of the Blog") and is totally dedicated to provide a relevant source of biology information / news. I'm improving the site daily and hope to build a community around it where people can discuss / express their opinions on daily topics. Finding people interested and knowledgeable in the field is not an easy task; this is the main purpose of this post on this board. Thanks for not deleting the post immediatly; if you juge that it's inappropriate, feel free to delete it, I guess I can't blame you I'm doing my PhD in Retrovirology, and not in Marketing, by the way

FiReaNG3L
FiReaNG3L - Your registration system is not working, which may be why you are having fewer members join than you hoped. Thanks for pointing that out... it seems that a mod_rewrite rule in my htaccess was wrongfully rewriting the link to http://www.biologynews.net/profile.php instead of http://www.biologynews.net/forum/profile.php. Weird... but it should work ok now
Sayonara
I'm sorry that you interpreted my post as rude; I did read the rules and figured out it was ok, since it was a non-commercial Biology website. I didn't say rude, I said impolite. Believe me I know how hard it is to get members for this sort of thing - I had the same problem with an online project when I did my dissertation.
