darkkazier Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 I have a question, if a nuclear bomb say 100 megaton went off over the ocean, first off would it be too hot to cause a tsunami and secondly would the shockwave be strong enough to push a cloud of Methane but not catch it on fire?
Phospholipid Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 I 'think' the answer is no to both questions.
beautyundone Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 i have no idea... though i'd really rather not have a nuclear bomb go off in the ocean in the first place. lol.
Sayonara Posted August 2, 2005 Posted August 2, 2005 I'd suggest looking at the data available on the zillions of underwater nuclear tests that have been carried out, seeing as they are the thing you're curious about.
