Misganaw Tegegne Ayana Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 The pka value of Resorcinol and THF in the same condition. Can THF deprotonates from resorcinol?
hypervalent_iodine Posted December 16, 2019 Posted December 16, 2019 I understand English is not your first language, but I cannot understand your question. Could you reword it? Are you asking if THF can deprotonate resorcinol?
Misganaw Tegegne Ayana Posted December 23, 2019 Author Posted December 23, 2019 I want to say, Can an hydrous (dry) THF act as abase and deprotonates resorcinol. If you have the Pka value data for both THF & resorcinol please suggest me.

The resorcinol would dissolve, but there will be no reaction.
