Norbert56 Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 Hello, I have a question. Recently, I read an interesting book, Short Answers to Big Questions, by Stephen Hawking. My question is this. Do you know any equally interesting books / authors on medical, chemical or biological topics?
Huckleberry of Yore Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 Two of my favorites: "The Selfish Gene" and "Guns, Germs, and Steel".
studiot Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 Try the handy answer book series, some of them are rather good and all are modern. The Handy Anatomy Answer Book The Handy Diabetes Answer Book The Handy Biology Answer Book The Handy Chemistry Answer Book etc https://www.visibleinkpress.com/s17/The-Handy-Answer-Book-Series
Alan Ronney Posted March 23, 2021 Posted March 23, 2021 Stephen Hawking is an amazing person. I am thirty-two years old, I always thought that it was too late for me to start doing science, but he changed my outlook. I wonder if there is such literature in Botany.
marrystalbergerdmz81 Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 Yeah my FAVORITE "The Selfish Gene"
iNow Posted August 30, 2022 Posted August 30, 2022 You are conflating Stephen Hawking with Richard Dawkins. They sorta rhyme, but they're completely different people working in completely different fields of study. Not the best post with which to necromance an almost 3 year old thread.

That was my immediate reaction, but the OP asks "My question is this. Do you know any equally interesting books / authors on medical, chemical or biological topics?"
