Is the question more specific ?
Are you just submerging the bag of crisps, or placing it under a considerable depth with a much increased pressure ?

And don't ruin a perfectly good bag of crisps, as Country Boy suggests.

Think about volume, pressure and density in a gas, and how they relate.
