005626f776RE Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 Hello, is it possible to grow copper crystals without copper sulfate? Just by dissolving copper powder into water then applying voltage and current? Or any other way to grow Copper Crystals without using Copper Sulfate? Thanks!
chenbeier Posted February 28, 2020 Posted February 28, 2020 What kind of crystals you talking about? Copper is not soluble in water. You need ions, copper sulfate, copper chloride, copper nitrate, etc.
005626f776RE Posted February 28, 2020 Author Posted February 28, 2020 many thanks for the response! I have no idea about chemistry. so these would work: 1. copper chloride + water + current 2. copper nitrate + water + current Any other solution with copper powder? Thanks!
