KspThings Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Hello ! Is it possible to produce hypochlorous acid by reacting chlorine gas with water ? Cl2 + 2H2O --> 2HOCl + H2 If it is, is there special conditions for the reaction to occure ? And if it is not, is there another way to make hypochlorous acid ? Thanks
Sensei Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Reaction looks like Cl2 + H2O -> HCl + HOCl 1

Thanks I would strongly discourage you from playing around like this if you don’t know what you’re doing.
