Externet Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Hi. Often, from the "Activity" tab; I get some prompt to join a subject. Such subject that I have never participated, nor from a member I had contact before, nor from my interest at all. Sample : Why the "Reply to this status" shown below ?
iNow Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 (edited) That activity is for the site as a whole, it is not specific to you as a user. The software provides the option to respond right from there. It’s for convenience. What are you even asking here? Edited March 26, 2020 by iNow 1

It does not seem random in my browser. If I show "all activity" and chose the expanded view (instead of condensed) I think I see "the reply to this status" for all status updates on members personal profile pages. And never for any posts in any threads. 1
swansont Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 It's because it was a status update, and that's what the software displays for status updates. It's not an invite to join a subject; status updates aren't threads in the forums. 1
Endy0816 Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 (edited) I like using a bookmark for 'Unread' myself. Avoid cluttering up your feed that way. Additional filters are available too if you want. Edited March 27, 2020 by Endy0816 1
StringJunky Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 I made a custom stream with all the subjects I'm interested in and then saved the stream's url as a bookmark on my bookmarks bar. 1

Ever thought of ignoring the shit that hit the fan in favour of focusing on the shit you're about to step in??? Edited March 27, 2020 by dimreepr
MigL Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 Should that not be the other way around ? I'd rather step in sh*t than be covered with fan-splattered sh*t.
