Sayonara Posted August 15, 2005 Posted August 15, 2005 Is anyone having problems logging in to DTC? If so, let me know here.
Sayonara Posted August 26, 2005 Author Posted August 26, 2005 Is that a no then? Because the logs say otherwise
Dak Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 when i try and click on the 'forums' link, i get 'page not found' (not a 404, your actual site telling me that the page cant be found'. Im not registered tho, so i dunno if im supposed to be able to see the forums.
Sayonara Posted August 26, 2005 Author Posted August 26, 2005 Yes, I see what you mean. I think it's another permissions problem. I can see the total abandonment of Drupal coming over the horizon...
Dak Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 It looks caky aswell (drupal, that is) also, when i tried to upload avitar.bmp it told me it isnt an image. which is a lie.
Sayonara Posted August 26, 2005 Author Posted August 26, 2005 Jeez, this release of Drupal is just a big bag of holes.
Dak Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 No trouble logging on as such, and now i can see the forums. Got the avitar uploaded by changing it to a jpeg.
5614 Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Got the avitar uploaded by changing it to a jpeg.Yeah that's a standard thing. SFN won't except .bmp either because they are so much bigger than .jpg or .jpeg
Dak Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Im pretty sure that avitar.bmp was the blue-dragon that i uploaded for my SFN avitar. [edit] No, i just checked and your right. only gif, jpg, png can be used as an avitar here. which begs the rather odd question of why i had my avitar stored on my pc as a bmp and only as a bmp [/edit]
5614 Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 Probably because it was a .bmp on your computer but you quickly changed it to .jpg for SFN, once uploaded you got rid of the useless .jpg version and kept the .bmp.
Dak Posted August 26, 2005 Posted August 26, 2005 That doesnt sound like me. I have an inordinate amount of cack on my pc, that I never get around to cleaning out. Oh well, one of lifes little misteries.
Dak Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 Also, It appears that there are only two threads: "forum open" by you under notices, and "how to be an effective anti-creationist" by hellbender under GD. Is that the case?
Dak Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 Hi. found a persistant rendering problem on the deathtocreationism site (but couldnt work out how to attach an image to the PM in d2c*) So here it is. misrender appears using firefox 1.0.6 and 1.0.7, on windows XP SP2. it only appears on my first visit to the site in a while; a refresh, or going to another page on the site, makes the problem go away untill I've left and come back. ----------------------- *or, for that matter, in SFN: hence the bumpage of this thread. stoopid technology.
Sayonara Posted September 28, 2005 Author Posted September 28, 2005 This error appears to exist because the Drupal template in question, much like the Drupal engine, is shite. Anyone know of a better CMS that has similar features to Drupal?
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted September 28, 2005 Posted September 28, 2005 Mambo is decent, although I don't think it would do what you want it to do (community contribution). There are piles of CMSs out there, I'm sure there's even a list of them on Wikipedia.
