Spotsite Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 Hi, I am looking to figure out Mg/Ml so I have ingredient “a” it’s in powder form and I want to make a solution of 1.5mg/ml and I want to make 250ml in total so just to confirm I have my numbers correct I add 0.0015mg per 1ml of solution so to make 250ml I add 0.375g / 375mg and adjust the solution to make a volume of 250ml I am sure I have my numbers correct now I am looking at it wrote down here but it just did not look right on my calculator. thanks in advance
John Cuthber Posted November 9, 2020 Posted November 9, 2020 1.5 mg per ml 250 ml 1.5 times 250 mg 375 mg 0.375 g made up to 250 ml Incidentally, its' mg/ml rather than Mg/Ml. Numerically, it's the same, but not many of us are measuring in metric tonnes per million litres.
Spotsite Posted November 10, 2020 Author Posted November 10, 2020 That’s great, thank you for the clarification and taking the time to explain. I had noticed I had put Mg/Ml on the title. after I read your explanation it is so simple 1.5x250=375 then make up the difference. My confusion was how this looks in grams 0.0015 I think I now have it figured out and my confusion was it having 4 digits after the . And now I understand it’s the 1/2 (.5mg) thanks once again.
