gatewood
I just watched this video: Of some dude/gal making glycerine seemingly without a base/acid. It doesn't seem to me that he knows what he is doing, but maybe he does, so I wanted to ask any organic chemists, if you think he managed to separate the triglycerides with this process? chenbeier
I dont see here a production of glycerin. Only two oils, water and salt are mixed and heated. A yellow dull mixture was formed. There is no separation process to get rid of the fat acids and the glycerin. This needs caustic soda to crack the ester bonds. At the end the whole mixture was put on the skin, not good idea.

John Cuthber
That video is nonsense.
Asim Gabol
An error occurred while playing this video.. But in response of thread title question.. there is no chance of specification without a base or an acid.. (as i know).
