Curious layman
Quote The Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR), a superconducting fusion device also known as the Korean artificial sun, set the new world record as it succeeded in maintaining the high temperature plasma for 20 seconds with an ion temperature over 100 million degrees (Celsius). https://phys.org/news/2020-12-korean-artificial-sun-world-sec-long.html
studiot
Thanks for that information. It just shows what an enormous waste of of public money the UK is making in buying at least two new but hopelessly outdated fission reactiors from the French. We never should have abandoned ZETA. Yes, of course I do. My long memory also recalls the row over the US 'the need to know' agreement. And I notice that they are cooperating not with their staunchest ally, but another party. Well done the Koreans. Edited January 3, 2021 by studiot
