Time is universal. The clock is an artifice. He might not want to say it but I will: you are stupid, and belligerently arrogant. You are the one who needs to update your understanding of relativity, which in turn should improve your capacity to contribute productively to a conversation as opposed to imposing your imagined intellectual superiority.
